Feed the Beast - IP Fitting for 6.2L/6.5L
If you wish to customize your Feed the Beast conversion your way, you’ll need this custom machined fitting. This takes you to 3/8 right from the Injection Pump.
When you first see how small the diameter of the inlet to the injector pump is on a GM 6.2/6.5L diesel, it is laughable. “How can so small a fuel line deliver enough fuel to move this fat pig,?” was my first thought.
At Walking J Designs, we’ve partnered with the inventor himself, who first came up with the idea of enlarging the fuel line from the fuel manager to the injector pump. These large and powerful vehicles come stock with 1/4" fuel line restricting fuel to the injector pump, and starving the motor for fuel.
This modification prevents fuel starvation among modified and heavy towing 6.2/6.5 diesels. Increasing fuel flow has also proven to slow the demise of the poorly placed PMD on later model DS4 injection pumps. (Although, you still should really remove the PMD via a Heath type kit.)
This simple part combined with the parts you source for your custom conversion will really help bring fuel to your starved 6.5.
The fitting on the left is the stock fitting. Can you believe the GM engineers thought you could climb while towing? The fitting on the right is our custom machined Walking J Designs fitting.
Fittings are warrantied for 2 years.
